Co-organisation of the EU-Africa Business Forum on the theme of “Women agri-food business in Africa and Europe: benefits in the economy and the sustainable development by promoting the geographical indications as best practices"

EEDEGE, together with the Hellenic African Chamber of Commerce and Development as well as the Hellenic - Kenyan Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Tourism & Culture, in the framework of the European Union-Africa Business Forum (EABF 2022), co-organised an event on "Women agri-food business in Africa and Europe: benefits in the economy and the sustainable development by promoting the geographical indications as best practices".

During her address, EEDEGE President Ms Sofia Kounenaki Efraimoglou referred to amongst other points, the need to promote women’s entrepreneurship as a central pillar of economic growth, and shared her vision for the extroversion of the agro-food sector that will encourage and promote innovation. "Our aim is to support women entrepreneurs in the agri-food sector by offering them opportunities for networking and the necessary guidance to develop their business idea in the proper way," she added.
