EEDEGE President Ms. Sofia Kounenaki Efraimoglou spoke at the Lions Clubs International’s Symposium on Balance for Better. In her speech, she referred to those women who were affected the most professionally during the pandemic, as the sectors mostly impacted were those that women are active in the most. A woman’s unpaid responsibilities, which unfortunately society still takes for granted that women will take on, lead to women’s so called ‘double shifts’, and work against paid work.
